Any game between India and Pakistan is a big pressure one and the team that manages to hold their nerves manage to win more often than not. Pakistan’s slack fielding granted Rohit Sharma a reprieve while sneaking a second and the reaction that followed by the batsman was just priceless.

Without Shikhar Dhawan, Rohit Sharma had to go big in order to post a massive total on the board alongside KL Rahul. Dhawan and Rohit have opened the batting on 103 occasions together and share a magnificent understanding while running between the wickets. But this wasn’t the scenario with KL Rahul and a fumble was bound to happen.

On the first delivery of the ninth over, Rahul tucked a length delivery towards mid-wicket and a double look achievable. Rohit steamed in for a second but his partner denied a second, which meant the former was stranded near Rahul’s end but was quick enough to make the run back. Fakhar Zaman threw the ball at non-striker’s end which got deflected by the bowler Wahab Riaz and gave Rohit enough time to make it back safely. The batsman’s reaction after getting a life was priceless as all that he could do was laugh about it.

Nine out of ten times, this horrible mix-up would have resulted in a run-out but this time. It will be interesting to see how costly this blunder would cost Pakistan.
