VIDEO | Mohammmed Amir warned twice for stepping into the danger zone on followthrough

Pakistan won the toss and opted to field first on a surface, which looked conducive for bowling. India were without the services of Shikhar Dhawan and this was the opportunity for Pakistani bowlers, especially Amir, to cash in. But it seems that the pressure got the better of Amir as he landed in the danger zone while bowling not once but twice and received two official warnings from the umpires.  

The first time Amir ran into the danger zone was during the third over, where umpire Bruce Oxenford was quick to point that out and warned the left-arm pacer. Amir continued to run into the protected area in his follow through on the fourth delivery of the fifth over and was once again issued a warning. 

One just cannot afford to step a foot wrong during a big match like this and Amir has managed to do it twice. So far, he has received two warning and a third one would deny him from bowling in this encounter. He bowled another over after that and was removed from the attack by skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed. 

As per ESPNCricinfo, this is what the law on bowler running on protected area states - "It is unfair for a bowler to enter the protected area in his/her follow-through without reasonable cause, whether or not the ball is delivered. If, in that innings, the same bowler contravenes this Law a third time, the umpire shall direct the captain of the fielding side to suspend the bowler immediately from bowling."
