Bhuvaneshwar Kumar is still undergoing rehabilitation for the hamstring strain he suffered during the match against Pakistan and will have his condition assessed in the coming eight days. Meanwhile, Delhi Ranji Trophy player Navdeep Saini has joined the Indian team as a ‘net bowler’.

The Indian cricket team finds themselves in a comfortable position at the ongoing ICC World Cup 2019 as they sit in the third position with nine points from five games. However, while Virat Kohli & Co. is yet to taste defeat at the global showpiece in England having recently registered a narrow 11-run win against Afghanistan in their last outing on the weekend, their injury list has been growing.

The Men in blue were already without the services of opener Shikhar Dhawan and saw their first-choice pacer Bhuvaneshwar Kumar suffering a hamstring strain in the match against archrivals, Pakistan. After Bhuvi's injury, the Indian team management had claimed his bowling would be assessed in eight days.

After Khaleel Ahmed, who served as a net bowler to the Indian team, was released on June 16 for India 'A' duty, the BCCI, on Monday, has released a statement revealing that Delhi Ranji Trophy pacer and Royal Challengers Bangalore star Navdeep Saini would be joining the Indian team in England as a net bowler for the remainder of the World Cup campaign.

"Navdeep Saini has arrived in Manchester. Navdeep is the only net bowler (sic) and he will train with the Indian cricket team," BCCI said as per TOI reports.

The young fast-bowler impressed Ravi Shastri and the selectors with his performance in this IPL for RCB, a team led by India skipper Virat Kohli.
