Yuvraj Singh has started preparing for the upcoming 12th edition of the IPL as he joined the Mumbai Indians pre-season camp. The Punjab all-rounder was picked up by the Mumbai franchise for his base price of one crore rupees during the fresh auctions held last December for the upcoming edition.

After remaining out of the Indian team for a while now, Yuvraj will be back in the limelight when he will wear the Mumbai Indians jersey in the upcoming edition of the Indian Premier League. As the Mumbai players have already started practising at the preparatory camp which is being held at Reliance Corporate Park Cricket Ground from Tuesday, the all-rounder has also joined his teammates for the camp.

The franchise has also released videos on Twitter to announce the arrival of Yuvraj at the training session in Mumbai.

He played in the entire domestic season for Punjab including the Trophy and the Vijay Hazare Trophy.

After being picked up for his base price of Rs 1 crore, the Indians will be the sixth IPL team for Yuvraj. He has amassed a total of 2652 runs in 128 matches while playing for Kings XI Punjab, Pune Warriors, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Delhi Daredevils, Sunrisers Hyderabad in the league before.

The all-rounder last played for the national team in 2017 ODI series against the Windies. The Rohit Sharma-led side will play its opening game at the Wankhede Stadium against Delhi Capitals on March 24.
