Rajasthan Royals were on the receiving end of some banter from Sussex County and Hobart Hurricanes after the former took to twitter to announce Jofra Archer’s inclusion in England’s World Cup squad. Archer and Liam Dawson were the two surprise additions to England's 15-man squad for the world Cup.

Jofra Archer was not picked in England’s provisional 23-man probable list ahead of the start of the preparatory warm-up games for the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2019. However, injuries and pulling out of certain players ensured that Archer made the squad for the recent ODI series win against Pakistan where he made his ODI debut for the three lions.

Archer was ultimately added to the 15-man squad for the World Cup which starts on May 30. Just after his selection, Rajasthan Royals took to Twitter to share the news with their fans.

However, the Rajasthan-based outfit were hilariously trolled by English County side Sussex and BBL franchise - Hobart Hurricanes. The ‘our pace machine’ did not go down well with Sussex and Hobart Hurricanes, of which Archer is also a part of.

Meanwhile, England will play the tournament opener against South Africa on May 30.

“It’s always been about playing for England for me and I always made that very clear. I was prepared to wait but thankfully the chance has come sooner,” said Archer after selection.
