Afghanistan are sweating on the fitness of skipper Rashid Khan for the tri-series final against Bangladesh on Tuesday, after the leg-spinner limped off the field with a hamstring injury on Saturday. Team manager Nazim Jar Abdur Rahim Zai has also confirmed that Rashid's participation is uncertain.

In what could be a major blow for Afghanistan ahead of the tri-series final against Bangladesh on Tuesday, skipper Rashid Khan's participation in the match is uncertain due to the hamstring injury that he picked up against the same opposition on Saturday. In the eighth over of the second innings, Rashid seemed to injure his hamstring after trying to stop a run and subsequently left the field post the incident, appearing to be in a lot of pain.

However, he did come back after four overs and even managed to pick up a couple of wickets, though not looking comfortable on the field. Afghanistan's team manager Nazim Jar Abdur Rahim Zai has now confirmed that Rashid's participation in the final hangs in the balance and that they're hoping for the 21-year-old to recover in time for the crunch encounter.

"I cannot say that he will be available [for the final]. He is doing well and let's see what's happening. We will have two or three days for recovery," Zai said in the post-match press conference, reported Cricbuzz.

I hope it's not that serious because he is our captain and main player and we will monitor him tomorrow and the day after (before taking any decision)," he added.

The final of the tri-series is scheduled to be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka on Tuesday.
