Yuzvendra Chahal has said that he was happy with the way he's been bowling at the training sessions for the Royal Challengers Bangalore ahead of the second leg of the IPL in the UAE. Chahal, India's leading wicket-taker in T20I cricket (63), was recently overlooked for the T20 World Cup 2021.

Yuzvendra Chahal, who has been a premier spinner in limited-overs cricket for India, was rather surprisingly omitted from their T20 World Cup 2021 squad. The leg-spinner didn't have the best of starts to the IPL 2021, having returned with just four wickets from seven games, while conceding runs at 8.26 duirng the first half of the tournament in India.

Ahead of the second leg, Chahal is confident of rediscovering his best.

“Obviously, the feeling was good, it was okay and I’m happy with the way I bowled today'', Chahal reflected after his first training session with the Royal Challengers Bangalore on Thursday.

"I’m very pumped up, especially, you know, we’re good on the points table and we have a very good chance to stay at the top of the table and when you bowl well after a long time you always feel good. Today, I can say that the old Yuzi is back”.

Meanwhile, the team head coach Mike Hesson talked about his laid out training plans and defined the roles of the players.

“In terms of practice today, we all know what the role is. We’ve all had those meetings for what we’re training for. So when we go in the nets, we’re really specific about what we’re trying to get out of it”, stated Hesson.

RCB currently occupy the third position in the points table with five wins from seven games. The three-time finalists will resume their campaign with a match against the Kolkata Knight Riders on September 20, in Abu Dhabi.
