Rishabh Pant was awarded the man of the match award for his brilliant knock of 52 from 28 balls as it helped India post 186 on the board after being asked to bat first. During his knock, Pant smashed 7 boundaries and a six which derailed the West Indian bowlers in the first half of the match.

Rishabh Pant played a brilliant knock of 52 runs from 28 balls which helped India win the three-match T20I series against West Indies. The left-handed batsman smashed the West Indian bowlers all around the park in an innings which was studded with 7 boundaries and a six. 

Pant who was been given the additional responsibility of being the vice-captain of the side was praised by fans as well as former cricketers for his game-changing knock on Friday after coming to bat at number 5 for India. 

During the post-match presentation, Rishabh Pant was asked about where he likes to bat to which he said, I am fine wherever the team wants me to bat.

On being asked about Rowan Powell's dropped catch Pant said that everyone thought that it was Bhuvneshwar Kumar's catch

"I think all of us inside the circle were waiting for it but in the end, it was Bhuvi bhai's catch but it happens and it's part and parcel of the game".

"I don't mind playing the situation and not only at the death. The more you practice, the better you get."

On being asked about the chat that he and Iyer were having during their partnership he said, "The only thing we (during partnership with Venkatesh Iyer) were talking was we will play according to every ball. It is never easy to play every game but this is what I have always wanted to do. I always enjoy what I do.

Pant also answered a question about Rowman Powell and said that Powell was hitting the ball really quick.

"He (Powell) was hitting bullets. At the back of my mind I was happy as well as Powell will be playing for Delhi Capitals (smiles)," he revealed.
