IND vs ENG 2022 | Test cricket seems to be very easy for Jasprit Bumrah at the moment, reveals Ajit Agarkar

India got themselves into a commanding position on second day of the on-off Test. India first posted a total of 416 and have reduced the hosts to 84/5. Rohit Sharma missed the game as he was tested positive for Covid and Jasprit Bumrah was appointed as the captain of the team. Bumrah also made an important contribution as he scored unbeaten 31 runs from 16 balls with the bat and scalped three wickets on the second day of the Test match. 

Many former cricketers and experts praised Bumrah for his performance while captaining the side and Ajit Agarkar has also shared his views on the ace pacer. Agarkar believes that the longest format seems to be very easy for Bumrah. 

"Bumrah and Shami's partnership in the Lord's Test in the same series helped India win the match. Today Stuart Broad wasn't great and Jasprit Bumrah cashed in. Test cricket at the moment seems very easy," Ajit Agarkar said while speaking on Sony Liv.

Only 38.5 overs were played on the rain-affected second day but Bumrah left his impact on the game. The hosts closed the play on 84/5 and they are still 332 runs behind India’s total. Bumrah also garnered 35 runs from an over of Stuart Broad which turned out to be the most expensive over in Test cricket. Also, he dismissed Alex Lees, Zak Crawley, and Ollie Pope demolishing the top order. Agarkar said that the pacer’s line and lengths were pretty accurate. 

“Bowl well, get heaps of wickets, get runs, become captain, and put India in a terrific position. But I think it's his bowling. He just bowled at the right speed. His line and length were immaculate as always," he explained.
