According to a report by PTI, India's full-time all-format captain Rohit Sharma is out of isolation on Sunday after having tested negative for Covid-19. Thus, the 35-year-old will be available for the limited-overs series against England, beginning on July 7 with the first T20I in Southampton.

Ahead of the three-match T20I series against England, Indian fans became supremely happy after knowing that Rohit Sharma -- their full-time all-format captain -- returned negative for Covid-19 on Sunday. Hence, he is now out of isolation and set to take part in the upcoming two limited-overs series against Jos Buttler's newly-looked England, starting from June 7 in Southampton.

Notably, Rohit was ruled out of the rescheduled fifth Test match against England, taking place at Edgbaston, as he tested positive for the virus on the second day of India's four-day warm-up game against Leicestershire. Now, after getting rid of it, he will undergo mandatory cardiovascular tests to check lung capacity and how it is functioning post-Covid-19.

''Yes, Rohit has tested negative and as per medical protocols, is now out of quarantine. However, he is not playing today's T20 warm-up game against Northamptonshire as he will need some recovery time and training ahead of the first T20I,'' a senior BCCI official confirmed the news to PTI.

Rohit tested positive thrice before the ongoing fifth Test match against England. Because of that, India had to pick a new captain in Jasprit Bumrah.
