Umran Malik has become a fast bowling sensation in India even before he makes his debut for Team India as he has impressed fans and cricketers with his performances in the IPL. South Africa captain Temba Bavuma who will lead his side in the upcoming series feels Umran Malik is a special talent.

India and South Africa are set to play against each other in a five-match T20I series which is scheduled to begin from June,9, 2022 as the first match will take place at the Arun Jaitley stadium in New Delhi. South African captain Temba Bavuma and his side will be vary of the fact that they will have to face Umran Malik who is consistently clocking speeds of over 150 kmph even though they too have bowlers who can bowl at that speed.

Temba Bavuma acknowledges Umran Malik’s pace and feels that the young pacer is an “exciting young prospect” for the Indian team. “We also got guys who can bowl 150 kmph. So we have that weaponry in our arsenal. But Umran Malik is a special talent for Team India and I hope that he could emulate his IPL performance in international cricket,” said Bavuma while speaking at a press conference.

“Umran Malik is an exciting pace bowling prospect for the Indian team. IPL has been great for the Indian team as they are able to unearth all these fast bowling options,” Bavuma said ahead of his side’s departure to India. I think in South Africa we grow up facing fast bowlers but I don’t think no batter likes to face a ball at 150 kmph. But you prepare as well as you can," the South Africa skipper added.

India is under the leadership of KL Rahul for the first time in T20Is and will be hoping to do well as they prepare for the T20 world cup.
