‌The outcome of a cricket match is often dictated by minute margins as was the case in the India versus Sri Lanka first ODI where the game ended in a stalemate. Rohit Sharma and Co. seemed to avoid such a situation in the next game as the captain was seen rebuking the Dube over a casual approach.

Like the previous game, Sri Lanka captain Charith Asalanka won the toss and elected to bat first in the second ODI. However, the hosts incurred an early setback as Mohammed Siraj’s outswinger with pinpoint accuracy found the outside edge of Pathum Nissanka on the first ball of the innings itself. Despite the early wicket, Sri Lanka soaked pressure and tried to rebuild the innings before Rohit’s frustration became the center of attention for a brief period.

After a boundary in the second ball of the fifth over, Arshdeep Singh bowled a length delivery outside the stumps that Avishka Fernando dabbed towards third man for a single. Dube, fielding there made a wayward throw towards the wicketkeeper and KL Rahul had to leap high, yet fail to grab the ball. Seeing a casual approach from the all-rounder, Rohit was seen furious and reprimanded Dube. While the skipper losing his calm is not a rare sight anymore, the Twitterverse showered with reactions to Dube’s laid-back approach.

Shivam Dube :|

Looks good here!

Should have batted first!

Yeah!

Miya bhai bolte!

Hahaha!

He started cricket with the ball!

Hitman for a reason!

Siraj is a nightmare to them!

He does what he is!
