Age is merely a number for certain cricketers who defy expectations and showcase extraordinary skills on the field. Faf du Plessis exemplified this in the Qualifier 2 clash against the Delhi Bulls, where he displayed his brilliance on the field by pulling off a stunner to dismiss Shadab Khan.

‌A bright and sunny evening set the stage for an intense Qualifier 2 between the Morrisville Samp Army and the Delhi Bulls. Samp Army skipper Rohan Mustafa won the toss and elected to bowl first, banking on Abu Dhabi’s dry conditions. The Bulls' openers, James Vince and Tom Banton got off to a solid start and racked up 15 runs in the opening over. However, Amir Hamza soon disrupted their momentum and removed Banton in the second over to break the partnership.

Delhi’s troubles deepened when Shadab Khan fell victim to Hamza, courtesy of a spectacular catch by Faf du Plessis. On the fourth ball of the second over, Hamza bowled a shorter and wider delivery outside off stump. Shadab attempted to create some room and loft it over the covers for a boundary but fate had other plans. Positioned in the cover region, Faf anticipated the trajectory and leapt with impeccable timing and snatched the ball with his right hand. The 40-year-old’s breathtaking effort left him ecstatic as his teammates rushed to celebrate with him and sending Twitterverse to frenzy.

What a catch!
