Even as we mature into adults, an inner child tends to remain within all of us. Virat Kohli channeled his inner gully cricket personality in search of a lost ball as he sprinted off the field and unearthed when India and Bangladesh went loggerheads in St. Vincent, Antigua on Saturday.

Winning the toss and electing to field first, Bangladesh bowlers were on the receiving end of some aggressive batting approach from the Men in Blue. Despite losing wickets on periodic occasions, the Indian batters opted for a gung-ho intent and Hardik Pandya’s fifty steered them to 196 in 20 overs. In reply, Bangladesh was languishing at 110/6 in 16 overs before Rishad Hossain produced a few lusty blows against Arshdeep Singh and Axar Patel, leaving the ball to disappear beneath the LED advertisement hoardings.

On the final ball of the 18th over, Arshdeep sprayed an off-cutter outside the stumps that the right-handed batter clubbed over the deep mid-wicket region for a six. Eventually, the white rock disappeared beneath an advertisement LED hoardings and Kohli chasing the ball saw that. Subsequently, the Indian stalwart crossed the hoarding and snuck underneath to discover the ball. As he returned back inside the field dimensions, umpire Richard Kettleborough accompanied him and the two had a brief interaction, sending the Twitterverse into a frenzy.
