Time and again, Jasprit Bumrah has been India’s savior with his jaffas and consistently providing crucial breakthroughs. He showcased this again on the last day of the India-Bangladesh Test, delivering an unplayable ball that shattered Mushfiqur Rahim’s middle stump and ended Bangladesh’s innings.

‌Overnight batters Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque started on a bright sunny morning in Kanpur. Bangladesh’s collapse continued when Ravichandran Ashwin dismissed Haque in the 14th over. The wickets fell quickly as Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shadman Islam, Litton Das, and Shakib Al Hasan were out in succession, and India extended lunch after taking important wickets, needing just one more to wrap up the innings. The moment finally arrived when Jasprit Bumrah took down Mushfiqur Rahim with a brilliant delivery at the stroke of the break.

On the last delivery of the 47th over, Bumrah bowled a fuller and straighter delivery, cleverly disguised as a pinpoint off-cutter. Although the ball was only clocked at 125.6 km/h, its line created the magic. Pitched precisely on the off stump, Rahim aimed to drive through the line nonchalantly. The ball angled into the batter sharp and slow to beat the inside edge of the willow and uproot the middle stump. The bowler had bowled pacy deliveries in the particular over prior to the dismissal and the sudden change of pace did turned out to be the final nail in the coffin. The Indian team breathed a sigh of relief as Bangladesh was bowled out for 146 runs, needing just 95 runs to win. Fans on Twitter couldn't contain their excitement and took to social media to share their reactions.
