When there is immense pressure, one must maintain calm and composure and act accordingly. Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto and Litton Das failed to do this in the final T20I at Hyderabad, where both made a big fumble in a golden opportunity for a run-out amidst India’s run flow.

‌India rode on the back of Sanju Samson and Suryakumar Yadav’s record-breaking 173-run stand, taking them to 190/1 in 13 overs. The Kerala batter was at his absolute best, scoring a blistering ton off 40 deliveries. The Indian skipper was also in fine form, contributing a blazing half-century as they punished the Bangladesh bowlers. After the duo’s departure in quick succession, it was up to Hardik Pandya and Riyan Parag to carry the momentum forward. However, amidst India’s innings, a moment of laughter arose when Shanto and Litton Das fumbled in a comical run-out mishap.

On the third ball of the 18th over, Mustafizur Rahman bowled a full-length delivery to Pandya, who got an inside edge onto his pads. With no impact, the ball rolled back toward wicketkeeper Litton. As the ball rolled toward Litton, Parag from the opposite end had already crossed halfway down the crease, while Pandya didn’t even attempt to run. Litton picked up the ball and threw it toward the non-striker’s end to try to dismiss Parag, but the throw was wayward. Shanto, who was backing up, couldn’t gather the ball as Parag easily made it back to the crease. The incident quickly caught attention on social media, with many laughing about Bangladesh’s poor fielding.
