Handling pressure is crucial, and a player needs the right temperament to manage it. However, Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto faltered during a light-hearted moment when he missed a simple catch off Rishabh Pant’s mistimed shot as the error sparked laughter in the Indian dressing room.

‌The Indian batting unit remained in firm control as Rishabh Pant and Shubman Gill continued to dominate, building on their fluent partnership and pushing India's lead well past 400. Both players notched up impressive half-centuries, taking the score to 184/3 in 48 overs. With mounting pressure, the Bangladesh bowlers desperately sought a breakthrough, and amid this tension, a comical moment occurred that brought smiles to the Indian dressing room.

On the final ball of the 49th over, Shakib Al Hasan bowled a tossed-up delivery on the stumps. Pant, aiming for a big slog sweep, misjudged the timing and ended up top-edging the ball high into the air towards mid-wicket, where Bangladesh skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto was stationed. It seemed like a straightforward catch as Shanto moved to his right, confidently positioning himself under the ball. However, in a surprising turn of events, he fumbled, letting the ball slip through his palms. Shakib, visibly frustrated, chose to contain his emotions, while the Chepauk crowd erupted in cheers as Pant was granted a fortunate reprieve.

In the Indian camp, Rohit Sharma and Ravindra Jadeja couldn’t help but laugh at Shanto's missed opportunity. Sharma was seen humorously gesturing to Jadeja, mimicking the catch attempt, while Jadeja playfully demonstrated how the catch could have been taken. The light-hearted exchange drew laughter, and social media quickly buzzed with reactions as fans shared their takes on the amusing mishap. What is Shanto doing? sealed
