When there is no solution in store for a team chasing a match, it often takes a moment of magic in the field to turn the game on its head. Sunrisers Hyderabad looked dead and buried in their defense of 143, until an Aniket Verma catch for the ages sparked life back into their effort.

Sunrisers Hyderabad found themselves on the backfoot for pretty much the entirety of their home game against Gujarat Titans as they managed a paltry total of 152/8 after being asked to bat first. However, the last year's runners-up kept themselves in the game with two early wickets of Sai Sudharsan and Jos Buttler but the respite was short-lived as Shubman Gill and Washington Sundar put together a dominant 90-run stand to effectively put Gujarat on the brink of winning. Yet, a stunning moment in the field offered them a brief glimpse at redemption, courtesy of their Impact Substitue Aniket Verma.
