Many players push themselves to execute unconventional shots, but under pressure, this can sometimes lead to injuries. Rishabh Pant experienced this on the first day of the opening Test in Sydney, when Mitchell Starc's pace caused a painful injury to his arm, resulting in a blood clot.

‌India's batting faced early setbacks with openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul departing quickly. However, Virat Kohli and Shubman Gill steadied the innings with a 40-run stand, taking India to a respectable position. Unfortunately, Gill was dismissed just before lunch, leaving India at 57/3. After the break, Kohli followed soon after, bringing Rishabh Pant to the crease. Pant, however, suffered a painful blow from Mitchell Starc’s pace, with the ball hitting his left bicep and leaving a severe bruise.

On the third ball of the 35th over, Starc bowled a good-length delivery on off stump at 139.8 km/h, which rose unexpectedly. Pant was beaten on the outside edge but was struck hard on the bicep. The impact left him in considerable pain, and play was halted as the Indian physio checked on him. The camera captured the severe blood clot on his bicep. After a brief pause, Pant returned to the crease, and the incident sent Twitter into a frenzy, with fans expressing their sympathy for Pant’s painful experience.

That is so scary!

Starc is something else!

He is built different!

Yeah he is!

Yupe!

He gotta bounce back now!
