Bravery never goes out of fashion, as even Lady Fate seems to have a thing for those courageous enough to take the daunting route. Prince Yadav certainly had luck smile on him in Hyderabad on Thursday as the pacer inadvertently ran-out Heinrich Klaasen and nearly picked up an injury in the process.

Sunrisers Hyderabad failed to replicate their gung-ho display from the season opener against Rajasthan Royals in their encounter against Lucknow Super Giants at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium on Thursday as two powerplay wickets restricted them to a relatively paltry 96/3 at the halfway mark. Nevertheless, the promise of a mammoth score remained on the horizon for the hosts given the presence of the explosive Heinrich Klaasen at the crease and an inexperienced bowling attack in front of him. However, those ambitions quickly dissipated when Prince Yadav's brilliant display with the ball and courage in the field was rewarded with the crucial breakthrough of the Proteas in freak fashion.

Klaasen had already struck a couple of boundaries and a maximum as he raced past 25 and looked in the zone for a big one. The South African had even managed a boundary off Prince in the 12th over, even as his teammates struggled to dispatch the right-arm quick's pinpoint yorkers and sharp bumpers, and ended up on the non-striker's end for the final ball of the pacer's third over. He watched on as Nitish Kumar Reddy pummelled a full delivery down the ground straight at Prince, who insttinctively extended both his hands to his left in an attempt to catch the Kookaburra travelling at rocket speed. The catch was barely ever a possibility, but the ball richoceted off Prince's hand and deflected onto the stumps to catch the backing up Klaasen completely off-guard.

Prince was ecstatic as he went up in appeal while a despairing Klaasen walked off but it only took a few moments for the adrenaline to rush off. The 27-year-old clutched his palm in agony and dropped to the ground, but was thankfully good to continue and earned great plaudits from Twitterati for his comprehensive display.
