Following this, words were exchanged between the two stars, as the Sri Lankan captain eased down the tensions.

The Test series between India and Sri Lanka is having its own heated moments, which has kept the fans on the edge of their seats. In the second Test, fans got to witness another intense clash, which came between Yashasvi Jaiswal and Asitha Fernando.

Jaiswal was able to smash three boundaries in an over against Asitha Fernando. But on the very last ball of his over, Fernando was able to dismiss him at the score of 45, getting the last laugh. After Jaiswal was dismissed being bowled, some words were said by the Sri Lankan bowler.

Yashasvi Jaiswal heard those words and charged towards Asitha Fernando. Both of them even had contact with each other, as Jaiswal even bumped his helmet towards him as a stare off. The Sri Lankan captain went on to ease the tensions off between them, before the umpires stepped in.

Here's how Twitter has reacted to this incident:

IPL Cancelled

Yashasvi Jaiswal will now go on to tell the BCCI that Asitha Fernando should not be picked in the IPL for the upcoming season.

Wait Jaiswal

A Twitter user said that Jaiswal is frustrated for not getting his ODI and T20I cap. At this time, players like Dravid, Tendulkar, and Kohli should talk to him to calm him down.

Like Coach Like Players

Gautam Gambhir is also known for his aggressive behaviour on the field. So the coach surely had an impact on the players of the Indian cricket team.

Great Idea

A Twitter user suggested that if Sri Lankan players speak a lot, we can stop their funding from the ICC. An Indian (Jay Shah) is sitting at a good position in the ICC now.
