Jasprit Bumrah has officially started his practices for an ODI comeback. After a long time, he has been named for India's ODI squad against England. Bumrah last played an ODI match for India against Australia in the 2023 World Cup final.

‌In just a few days, the Indian fans will be able to see the comeback of Jasprit Bumrah in the ODI side. To manage his workload efficiently, the Indian team focused on having Bumrah for the Tests and T20Is. But since the team has started its preparations for the ODI World Cup, Bumrah has made his way back to the side.
Photos of his practice sessions ahead of the ODI series have gone viral. Bumrah taking his run up to bowl in the most lethal way possible has given a lot of nostalgia to the cricket fans. Moreover, this will be his first ODI game for the Indian cricket team in almost three years.
The last time Jasprit Bumrah played an ODI match for the Indian team was in the 2023 World Cup. He played the World Cup final against Australia, which came out to be the only defeat for the Indian team in the tournament. Now with Bumrah finding his rhythm again, he will be eager to dominate against England.

Our Take

Jasprit Bumrah has been India's key bowler across all three formats of the game. However, the BCCI also aims to manage his workload to a great extent, as it will help the team to get the most out of Bumrah. Along with that, it should also be noted that Bumrah has been more prone to injuries over the last few years. The team will be using him effectively to ensure that he remains fit for the big tournament.
