Pitch and Weather

The second ODI will also be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, a pitch which is known for its slow and dry nature. Spin bowlers will receive assistance as the match progresses. Match Report

Bangladesh starts well after being asked to bat. Tanzid Hasan and Saif Hassan start with care, against the new ball movements. Shaheen Shah Afridi takes the first wicket, dismissing Saif Hassan in the powerplay. Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto pair up against the pacers, as Bangladesh score 45/1 in the first ten overs. 

Pakistan brings Abrar Ahmed to the game who turns the momentum. He takes the wicket of Tanzid Hasan, dismissing him at 34. Shanto and Litton Das stitch a partnership to stabilize the team's innings by effectively rotating strikes. Litton Das shifts momentum to reach his half-century, while Shanto lost his wicket to Mohammad Wasim Jr at 41. 

Bangladesh were close to finish their innings on a high note, but they lost quick wickets. Mehidy Hasan Miraz plays a captain knock of 30 runs which helps Bangladesh to finish their innings at the score of 238/8 in 50 overs. 

Pakistan start off the chase well with early boundaries before Sahibzada Farhan lost his wicket to Taskin Ahmed. Mohammad Rizwan shows his control technique, as he forms a partnership with Maaz Sadaqat. Their stand is able to keep Pakistan ahead of the required run rate. 

Rizwan takes the next gear and moves to his half-century, after which he loses his wicket to Mustafizur Rahman. With Pakistan in control, Abdul Samad finishes the chase, as Pakistan scored 241 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 48 overs. 

Player of the Match

Mohammad Rizwan receives the Player of the Match award for scoring 79 runs in the chase, where he played as an anchor to help Pakistan win.
