The Indian Premier League is just around the corner, as the biggest festival of Indian cricket begins from 28 March. With the tournament being just 10 days away, fans just can't wait for the opening clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad. Both teams do share a lot of history, which goes back to 2016.

And it was the time when RCB were at its best, making it to the finals. But there the team went against SRH, being led by David Warner, and ended up suffering a heartbreak. After 10 years, both teams have actively faced each other in the tournament but the hype is always maintained.

This time, they will be going against each other in an IPL opener. It also happened back in 2017, when SRH entered as the defending champions. But the only difference is that this time it is the Royal Challengers Bengaluru who enter as the defending champions.

Let's see how fans on Twitter are reacting to this clash, with the match being a few days away.

Bring it On

A few seasons back, Pat Cummins said that 240 seems to be a par score at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. Considering the batting strength of both teams, it is likely that a high scoring game would open the IPL.

Power of RCB

For the third time in a row, Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be opening the IPL. They did it in 2024 against Chennai Super Kings, in 2025 against the Kolkata Knight Riders, and now against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Final Feel

It was a great strategy by the IPL management to schedule RCB vs SRH as the opening game. With the match taking place at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, it will already make the fans feel like they are watching a final.
