Phil Salt has been the key element which RCB was missing over the last few games. He had injured his finger right before the clash against Delhi Capitals, as Jacob Bethell took his place. Salt is now back in India ahead of the clash against MI, as he visited the UK for some scans.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru are not having a good time right now in the TATA IPL. And it won't be wrong to say that it all started with Phil Salt being injured for the team. He has already missed out on 3-4 matches for the Royal Challengers, as the team now prepares to go against Mumbai Indians at their new home ground.

A few days back, Phil Salt reportedly went back to the United Kingdom for some scans. He had injured his finger during the practice sessions before the clash against Delhi Capitals, and his missing has turned out to be brutal for RCB. While the injury was not deemed as serious, it was still necessary for Salt to have the scans done.

According to reports, Phil Salt has now arrived in India and is ready to join the RCB camp. However, it remains unclear whether he will be playing for the team in the upcoming match against Mumbai Indians or not.

Our Take

The availability of Phil Salt comes as a massive boost for Royal Challengers Bengaluru. He has arrived back in the country and with all the scans being done, he is reportedly fit and ready to play. If he gets to play in the clash against Mumbai Indians, RCB will be able to unleash their wrath once again. Still, the playoffs race for RCB is getting intense, which makes the availability of Phil Salt a big boost for them.
