Royal Challengers Bengaluru will be playing consecutive finals for the first time in the IPL. The last time the team won a title, the celebrations led to a stampede which took the lives of innocent people. Now, the authorities have imposed bans on public celebrations after the title win.

‌RCB fans are more joyed than ever, as they wait for the IPL final clash against Gujarat Titans. The final match was scheduled to be played at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium earlier but the venue was shifted to Narendra Modi Stadium. While the finals went away from Bengaluru, fans thought they could still celebrate if their team won the game.
But the celebrations have also been halted even before the IPL final match. The Bengaluru police have taken strict actions to ensure that there is no more loss of life due to the celebrations. The police authorities have imposed bans on public celebrations, bike rallies, overspending, stunts & screening.
This is being done to ensure that the incidents like the Bengaluru Stampede don't take place again. For the first time in the history of the IPL, the victory parade turned out to be deadly, as several innocent people lost their lives.

Our Take

The steps taken by the Bengaluru police to ban the celebrations or screening after the IPL final have been welcomed by the cricket fans all over the country. While the Bengaluru fans will be disappointed that they won't get a chance to celebrate even after living in the city, it is for their own good. Still, it remains to be seen whether the decision taken by the authorities will be of any help or not.
