Harry Kane pumped in four goals to help secure Spurs' 25th win of the season with a 6-1 thrashing of defending champions Leicester City. In doing so, Kane not only took the lead in the Golden Boot race, he also joined an elite list of players to have achieved the 25-goal mark in consecutive seasons.

After Spurs 'keeper Hugo Lloris was forced into a couple of saves by the hosts, Kane was the first to get on the scoresheet in the 25th minute when he put the ball into the back of the net after some brilliant work by Son Heung-Min down the right flank. The Korean then turned provider as he fired in a volley to double Spurs' lead.

The home side came out for the second half with a renewed sense of vigor and tested Lloris regularly. It was the French 'keeper's error that gave Leicester some hope after he came way out of his box to win a tackle against Jamie Vardy. However, even after winning the tackle, the ball eventually fell to Ben Chilwell who made no mistake in scoring his first ever goal for Leicester City.

However, Kane restored the two-goal cushion with a close-range header before Son doubled his tally for the night with a well-placed shot from outside the box. Kane, who started the day two goals behind Romelu Lukaku, completed his hat-trick two minutes from time before adding another one four minutes later.
