The 2018 FIFA World Cup is set to begin tomorrow in the European nation of Russia in which we will see Germany defend the coveted trophy against tough oppositions. With the competition fast-approaching, we have put together a quiz to test your knowledge about the prestigious tournament.

Russia beat the likes of England, Belgium. Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain to host the 2018 FIFA World Cup and have done massive work on their local infrastructure since then to match the high standards of the competition. The World Cup will commence on June 14 and will go on till July 15. The final will take place on 15 July at the Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow.

The final tournament will involve 32 national teams, which include 31 teams determined through qualifying competitions and the automatically qualified host team. Of all the 32 teams involved this year, 20 will be making back-to-back appearances following the last tournament in 2014, which included defending champions Germany, while Iceland and Panama will both be making their first appearances at a FIFA World Cup. A grand total of 64 matches will be played in 12 venues located in 11 cities. 

Germany will be among the favorites this time round as they look to defend their crown from years ago. Brazil and France are the favorites to give Germany a tough fight and cause an upset in Russia. Argentina, Spain and England have also assembled some strong squads this time out and will hope to progress to the latter stages of the competition at least.

Stars like Neymar, Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo will all be a part of this global event and will look to lead their respective teams to eternal glory.
