Former Tottenham cult hero Dimitar Berbatov has recently spoken about Harry Kane's lack of silverware with the club. The Bulgarian hinted that a change of scenery could help the striker fulfill his dreams of winning every major competition, something that will probably not happen at Spurs.

Even though times have changed and Tottenham is a far bigger club than it was in 2008 when Dimitar Berbatov left for Manchester United, he doesn’t believe that. The seventy-eight capped Bulgarian international had a lot to say for Harry Kane, asking him to leave the club and instead find a place where he can truly become successful.

"Someone needs to ask Harry Kane about what he will do if Spurs don’t win a trophy this season.  Coming from that point of view, and I’ve been in those shoes, the moment comes when you play for a team for a while and you don’t win anything. At the same time, you see other colleagues that you are playing within the national team, and they are winning trophies.

You start asking all these questions and at one moment nothing changes, you change the environment, you change the club. It’s a tough decision because fans will be disappointed — and so will the coach,” Berbatov confessed.

The North London side have been making strong investments this season as this could be their last chance to make some noise, both in England and Europe. Spurs have already completed moves for Tanguy Ndombele and Jack Clarke, with potential moves for Giovani Lo Celso and Ryan Sessegnon on the books. This is something they need to do, in order to please someone like Harry Kane to stay, according to Goal. The English striker has recently inked a new contract which runs until 2024, and there has been rumors about any moves in a long time.
