Real Kashmir coach David Robertson has expressed his unhappiness after Minerva Punjab didn’t turn up for a game against Real Kashmir FC in Srinagar after the Pulwama terror attack. The coach has said that there is no idea about what is happening with that game and the AIFF will take the decision.

In the wake of terrorist attack on CRPF personnel in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama, defending I-League champions Minerva Punjab had decided not to play the game against the Real Kashmir club in Srinagar. Meanwhile, the decision about the game has not been taken yet by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) as Minerva had filed a petition in Delhi High Court. The court had then asked the Punjab-based franchise to take the matter to the league committee.

“No idea about what is happening with the Minerva clash. It’s in the hands of the AIFF and they will make the decision,” said Robertson before their game against East Bengal in Delhi, reported PTI.

“It was disappointing not to play the game (Minerva). There was a game which was snowed off and then there was on game where the team didn’t show up. But then you just focus on the matches ahead.”

Playing in the first division of the I-League for the first time, the team from the northernmost state of India has performed well despite all the hurdles and issues. RKFC is presently at the third position on the points table with 33 points from 17 games which is equal to that of East Bengal whom they are meeting next today.

“Before the season started we wanted to get as many points on the board as possible. We have had a fantastic season. If you get so close and don’t win you are more disappointed. If we could have held our own again Arrows the position would have been different,” Robertson said.
