After FC Goa managed to get their hands on Alexander Romario Jesuraj from defending I-League champions Chennai City FC, I-League side Mohun Bagan has loaned him for a season. The 22-year-old winger would need to get regular playing time at the competitive level before stepping into the ISL.

The winger has reportedly been trying to force away from the I-League and as soon as he was successful in his attempt, he was loaned back to the Kolkata giants for a season-long loan spell. Quite interestingly, the club had previously shared the news of signing the Tamil Nadu footballer before they put it down later.

Part of Chennai City FC since 2017 Jesuraj has plied his trade on the right flank and has played 34 times scoring thrice with two of them coming against top clubs East Bengal. He was an important part of the Spanish trio of Nestor Gordillo, Sandro Rodriguez, and Pedro Manzi.

Akbar Nawas was hugely reliant on the quartet that ended up scoring 40 goals in their run to their maiden I-League title in only their third season in Indian top-flight football. Mohun Bagan have been in their pre-season training in Goa with new Spanish coach Kibu Vicuna.
