Manchester United target Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could leave, reveals Lazio President
Lazio president Claudio Lotito has revealed that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic could leave the club if they get the right offer for the midfielder this summer. The Serbian star has been linked with a move to Manchester United and their top target to replace Paul Pogba, if the Frenchman leaves this summer.
Lazio President Claudio Lotito has revealed that Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Manchester United’s top replacement for Paul Pogba is free to leave the club if the right offer comes through the door. The Red Devils have been heavily linked with a move for the Serbian international this summer, especially with Pogba also heavily linked with a move away.
The former Juventus star has already revealed his interest to try a new challenge, after life in the Premier League, and that has seen both Real Madrid and Juventus make serious in-roads over a move. But if Manchester United does lose Pogba, they will make a move for Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, reports have indicated. The 24-year-old has already reportedly agreed to a five-year contract with the Red Devils but there has been agreement over a potential transfer fee.
“We'll see the conditions that line up,' Lotito told Sky Sport Italia. “Milinkovic has a good rapport with the club, just as the club has with him. If some offers were to be presented, we'd evaluate them with a spirit of collaboration that looks after the interests of the club and the player.
We'll make the decisions that are best for everyone. The investments we made last summer should've allowed us to qualify for the Champions League, but we hope to have learned from the experience.”
