Want to join a club that will help me become a better version, asserts Sandesh Jhingan

By far the most intriguing development to keep a track in the Indian football transfer market, Sandesh Jhingan is yet to sign for a new club, but  fans are eagerly awaiting it. Three months without a club, India’s second most talked-about footballer after Sunil Chhetri is not losing sleep after former employers terminated his contract in a dramatic fashion.

In fact, three-four clubs are leaving no stones unturned to secure his precious signature on the contract paper, offering him lucrative deals. But, the sturdy defender is not taking his decision hastily; Sandesh wants to see his future at a club that will help him to grow as a footballer.

“I want to be sure about everything and that explains the delay. I want to see the project, want to see myself grow as a footballer. I am 27 now, and my peak is still ahead of me. At this stage of my career, when I am certain to be at my best, I need to go to a place where the coach will help me become a better version,” said Sandesh Jhingan, as reported by The Times of India.

Indian Super League (ISL) winner ATK-Mohun Bagan, AFC Champions League qualifiers FC Goa, Bengaluru FC, Odisha FC and even Mumbai City FC are in a race to secure Sandesh Jhingan’s services. While this might be a good problem to have, the footballer feels that the decision to choose a suitable destination is not quite easy.

"It’s not easy (to choose). When I go to a club, I am a person who puts his heart and soul into everything. I become a part of everything the club represents. I want to get myself involved totally,” added the footballer.
