Robert Lewandowski has once again reiterated the fact that he wants to leave Bayern Munich this summer and has asked the club for an amicable departure. The Polish forward has one year left on his contract and has been linked with a move to Barcelona this summer but nothing has materialized yet.

Ever since Kylian Mbappe signed his new contract, the focus of the transfer window has changed and moved to Robert Lewandowski. That was especially after the Pole’s news conference where he confirmed his desire to leave Bayern Munich amidst rumours of a move to Barcelona. However, with Bayern refusing to let the forward leave, it has seen things reach a standstill as reports have revealed that Lewandowski is even considering boycotting training.

But as talks with Barcelona continue, Lewandowski has once again asked the German giants to let him leave this summer because he has given his best over the last eight years. Not only that, the Polish forward admitted that he has “had eight beautiful years” with the club and enjoyed a catalogue of moments, something he wants to keep that way.

"After various years at Bayern, giving my best, I now want to leave. Something has gone out inside of me. I want to leave Bayern to find new emotions in my life. I want new challenges. I have had eight beautiful years here, I have met so many wonderful people and I would like it to remain that way. Loyalty and respect are more important than work. The best way is to find a solution for everyone,” Lewandowski said, reported Onet Sport.
