Just want to play football and be myself while enjoying what I do, admits Paul Pogba
In light of rumours over his next destination, Paul Pogba has revealed that he just wants to have fun playing football again and wants to do what’s good for him going forward. The Frenchman will leave Manchester United as a free agent at the end of June, once his contract with the club expires.
While Manchester United have already confirmed that Paul Pogba will be leaving the club as a free agent at the end of June, the Frenchman’s future is far from confirmed. He has been linked with a move to Real Madrid, Barcelona and even Paris Saint-Germain but Juventus reportedly remain the front-runner for the Frenchman’s signature.
The Turin side have already tabled a contract offer for the 29-year-old and while Pogba is yet to make a decision on his future, Juventus want the Frenchman back at the club. However, in light of those rumours, Pogba admitted that right now, he wants “the best for me” and is willing to take his time in order to make the right move. He also added he wants to “enjoy” his football going forward and “be happy where you are” which is why he is biding his time.
“I just want the best for me, I’m thinking like putting everything together. Take my time and I’m just looking for the best. I just want to play football, be myself always and enjoy what I do. I need to enjoy what I do because otherwise, I cannot perform well. I don’t want to be thinking negative,” Pogba said, reported Goal.
“We can be losing games, losing trophies but you have to be happy where you are and enjoy yourself. That’s what I’m looking for."
