Frank Lampard, who has been a midfielder for Chelsea for a long time, has now applied for the post of a manager in Coventry City. According to some reports, it was said that Lampard was one of the many applicants for the manager post of the team.

This happened after Mark Robins departed from Coventry City in the last week, allowing various individuals, including Frank Lampard to apply for the same. Mark Robins had served for the longest time as the manager of the team, till he left his post last Thursday, ending his seven years of leadership.

Coventry has not been able to perform well in the Championship Table, as the team stands with just 16 points in 15 matches. This further puts them at the 17th spot in the rankings, and just one point above from the dropzone.

Doug King, the manager of the club said,“We’ve received a huge amount of CVs from high-quality people, of which Frank is one. We’ve done nothing on that process … but clearly we’re in the international break, we’ll be assessing everything. We’ll work out who’s going to make the shortlist and we’ll go from there.”
