David Coote was allegedly abusing Liverpool and the team's former manager Juergen Klopp. He was suspended by the PGMOL referees team following the pending investigation in this case, where videos surfaced of him abusing the team and their manager in the Premier League game.

In the video displayed over various social media platforms, it showed that he made some derogatory comments to the Liverpool team and their former manager Juergen Klopp, who has not been a part of the team since May. The authenticity of the video has still not been verified but the actions of David Coote were clear.

PGMOL released a statement for the same, saying, “David Coote has been suspended with immediate effect pending a full investigation. PGMOL will be making no further comment until that process is complete.”

Liverpool is also aware of the statements given by the PGMOL referees and has still not commented on this issue. It should be noted that David Coote was also the referee in Liverpool's previous game against Aston Villa, where the team won 2-0. Núñez and Mohamed Salah were the goal scorers for the team.
