Chelsea remain in talks with Borussia Dortmund over Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, with the Bundesliga club demanding €65 million (£55m). Despite prior Club World Cup ineligibility, he remains a priority signing. Meanwhile, Manchester United may lower Alejandro Garnacho’s asking price from £60m to £40m after recent controversies, including his Instagram post wearing an Aston Villa shirt.

After the final round of Club World Cup group matches, Chelsea continues their aggressive summer transfer push, focusing on signing Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Bynoe-Gittens. Negotiations took place on Wednesday, with Dortmund's sporting director Sebastian Kehl leading discussions. Despite no final agreement, talks were described as "positive" by Sky Germany, with Dortmund holding firm on a €65 million (£55 million) asking price. Chelsea is optimistic about completing the deal, as the 19-year-old English winger is viewed as a top priority.

However, even if signed, Gittens is ineligible to feature in the Club World Cup as he has already played for Dortmund in the same tournament. Chelsea are allowed to register six new players for the knockout rounds, but only two can be fresh additions, with four having to replace current squad members. The registration deadline is 9 PM BST on Thursday before their round of 16 tie against Benfica.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are reportedly lowering their valuation of Alejandro Garnacho. Initially priced at £60 million, they now consider £40 million more realistic due to a lack of strong interest and Garnacho’s off-field behaviour. A controversial Instagram post wearing an Aston Villa shirt with Rashford's name has added to United’s urgency to part ways with the winger.
