Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres is expected to leave this summer, with the club willing to accept a €70 million offer despite his €100 million release clause. The 26-year-old Swede has scored 82 goals in 90 games. He prefers a move to Arsenal, Liverpool, or Man City, while Man Utd have shifted focus elsewhere.

For the 2025 summer transfer window, Viktor Gyokeres is set to leave Sporting CP, with multiple top European clubs vying for his signature. The Swedish striker has been in exceptional form, scoring 82 goals in 90 appearances since joining from Coventry City. Sporting CP had initially set a €100 million release clause, but they are now willing to accept offers of around €70 million.

Gyokeres reportedly prefers a move to the Premier League, with Arsenal, Liverpool, and Manchester City emerging as his preferred destinations. Meanwhile, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Paris Saint-Germain, and Real Madrid are seen as the top contenders outside England. However, Manchester United, despite long-standing links, are unlikely to sign him, as they shift focus towards securing FC Porto forward Samu Aghehowa.

United had initially considered Gyokeres and RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko, but with both targets proving difficult to acquire, they have turned to Aghehowa. The 20-year-old has netted 20 goals in 33 appearances this season, making him a rising prospect in European football.

With Gyokeres’ Sporting exit considered “inevitable”, the battle for his signature is intensifying, and clubs must act quickly to secure one of the most prolific strikers available in the upcoming transfer window.
