Arsenal remains keen on signing Newcastle striker Alexander Isak, but the move seems unlikely. Isak, instrumental in Newcastle Carabao Cup win over Liverpool, is valued highly by the Magpies. With Newcastle eyeing Champions League qualification and Isak emerging as their top player, Arsenal faces a tough task, both financially and competitively, to secure the Swedish forward.

During the 2024-25 season, Arsenal’s pursuit of a top striker has gained momentum, with Newcastle United’s Alexander Isak emerging as a primary target. The Swedish forward has been in sensational form since arriving in the Premier League, helping Newcastle lift the Carabao Cup after a victory over Liverpool and pushing them toward a Champions League spot.

Arsenal’s lack of depth upfront became evident after injuries to key attackers Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Martinelli, and Gabriel Jesus, forcing Mikel Arteta to rely heavily on Kai Havertz, who eventually suffered an injury right after the January transfer window closed.

With a striker the priority for the summer, Isak’s name has been consistently linked to the Gunners. However, signing him seems highly complicated. Newcastle now holds a strong position, buoyed by silverware and a potential Champions League berth, making any negotiation tough.

Former Arsenal defender Martin Keown even suggested the deal might be out of reach, emphasizing that Isak's value has skyrocketed, with global interest mounting. Newcastle is unlikely to entertain offers, especially given Isak’s growing influence. The deal, likely to involve a massive transfer fee, appears increasingly unlikely, but Arsenal is expected to pursue it until Newcastle firmly rejects any approach.
