Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane is closing in on Robert Lewandowski’s Bundesliga single-season record of 41 goals. Kane has scored 30 goals in 24 league matches, leaving him 11 short with 10 games remaining. Bayern lead the table by 11 points. Former striker Jurgen Klinsmann believes Kane can reach the milestone as Bayern chase another title this season confidently.

For the Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane, the 2025-2026 Bundesliga season is turning into another record-chasing campaign. Bayern’s recent victory over Borussia Dortmund at the Westfalenstadion pushed the club 11 points clear at the top of the table with 10 matches still left in the league. While the title race appears close to being settled, Kane now has his sights on breaking Robert Lewandowski’s single-season Bundesliga goal record.

Kane has scored 30 goals in 24 league matches this season and needs 11 more to equal Lewandowski’s record of 41 goals set in the 2020-2021 campaign. Bayern as a team are also chasing a major milestone, standing just 14 goals short of the league record of 101 goals scored in a single season in 1971-1972. Despite the possibility of breaking the record, Kane said he focuses on smaller targets instead of thinking about records.

He divides the season into blocks of 5 or 6 games and sets personal scoring goals during each period. Former Bayern and Germany striker Jurgen Klinsmann believes Kane has a strong chance of achieving the record and said coach Vincent Kompany would not stop him from reaching it.
