Kylian Mbappé Injury Error Sparks Concern at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé’s knee injury was initially misdiagnosed after Real Madrid staff mistakenly scanned his right knee instead of the injured left. He still played three matches, scoring in all. Later tests revealed a posterior ligament tear. Despite injury issues, Mbappé has scored 38 goals in 35 games this season, including 23 in La Liga.

In the latest development surrounding Kylian Mbappé, a major medical error by Real Madrid staff reportedly led to the misdiagnosis of his knee injury. The issue dates back to December, following a 2-0 La Liga defeat to Celta Vigo, where Mbappé sustained a knock but still completed the full 90 minutes.

During the initial assessment, the club’s medical team mistakenly performed an MRI scan on his right knee instead of the injured left one. As no issue was detected in the wrong knee, Mbappé was cleared to continue playing and featured in three more matches. Despite discomfort, he delivered strong performances, scoring in each game against Alavés, Sevilla, and Levante.

The error was eventually discovered during a follow-up examination, which correctly identified inflammation and a partial tear in the posterior ligament of his left knee. This revealed that the injury was more serious than initially believed, prompting a more cautious recovery plan, although it was officially termed a knee sprain.

Despite these setbacks, Mbappé has had an outstanding season, scoring 38 goals in 35 matches, including 23 in 24 La Liga games, 13 in the Champions League, and two in the Copa del Rey. He has now joined the France squad for upcoming friendlies against Brazil and Colombia.
