Bengaluru Bulls’ coach Randhir Singh has stated that after observing and guiding youngster Pawan Kumar Sehrawat for many years, he already knew that this season would be his best till date. Singh was speaking at the post-match conference after his men defeated the Tamil Thalaivas in Sonipat.

The points table for the sixth season of Pro Kabaddi league has started heating up with Bengaluru Bulls winning their second encounter on the trot against the Tamil Thalaivas 44-35. The Bulls have put Tamil Thalaivas in a precarious position where the latter would have to do really well to come out of the group stages. At the post-match conference, it was only Bengaluru Bulls who were being represented by their coach Randhir Singh and raider Pawan Kumar Sehrawat and the former was all praise for the youngster.

“This is not his first season with me. I have seen him since he was 17. When the auction began I’ve kept a close eye on him. Against Karnataka, he single-handedly scored a staggering 18 points in the Senior Nationals. For the last 4 months I’ve made him work on just one aspect of his game and today I feel proud. I had already predicted that this season will be his best season yet” Randhir Singh said at the post-match conference.

When asked about team captain Rohit Kumar asserted that the player brings a lot of value to the team just by his mere presence.

“Rohit is a champion on another level. He’s standing as the captain on the mat. Because of him, everyone is playing confidently” the coach said.

Finally, it was the young Pawan Sehrawat who talked about his experience in the team.

“Both my coach and Kashi bhai (Kashiling Adake) have helped me on and off the mat to adapt. As the coach said, they helped me work on the improving my game and I’m thankful to them for it”.
