Gujarat’s assistant coach Neer Gulia has stated that even after the two defeats at home, the confidence level of the Fortunegiants is not dented at all. Neer has also added that one can not single out any particular player as the reason for the loss in the two back-to-back home games.

Last year’s runners-up team Gujarat Fortunegiants are going through a very tough phase at the moment. A team which had a terrific win record at home in its first two seasons of the league have lost both their games this year against Tamil Thalaivas and Telugu Titans. However, assistant coach Neer Gulia has explained that the team is still confident enough and will definitely make a comeback.

“The confidence is not dented at all. The team will definitely make a comeback. Losing four matches is no big deal. There have been plenty of teams that have faced losses this season and we will come back from this stronger,” Neer said during the post-match press conference.

In their second home game, the Fortunegiants were defeated by Telugu Titans by a margin of 30-24. Parvesh Bhainswal was the top performer for the home team in the defence with seven tackle points while the raiding unit failed to put up a great show. Meanwhile, Neer denied blaming any particular player for the loss last evening.

“You can’t really single out any one individual after a performance like this. This is a team game. Some times a player does well and other times he doesn’t. We haven’t been able to come back into matches once the opponent takes a lead and we are working on improving that aspect of our performance,” the assistant coach explained.
