After their sixth consecutive loss in the season, Gujarat Fortunegiants coach Manpreet Singh said that his team gave their 100 percent but luck wasn't on their side. Gujarat are now at the eighth position on the points table. He also added that he still had complete faith in himself and his team.

Gujarat Fortunegiants for the first time lost all of their home matches and this is their biggest losing streak till now. The two-time finalists lost a low-scoring match against the top team Jaipur Pink Panthers by 19-22 last night. The whole match was neck to neck as no team got any substantial lead till the end and even after the first half, the score was 9-10 in favour of the Panthers.

“The team has played very well in all the matches, especially the ones in the home leg. The players are giving their hundred percent but sometimes luck is not on our side. There are many moments which could have gone either way in all the matches. If there is any shortcoming we will try and overcome it for the upcoming matches,” Gujarat Fortunegiants coach Manpreet Singh said in the post-match presentation.

The raiding department of the Giants failed as the highest score was by Sachin in 15 raid attempts. The raiders got out at the crucial moments where the game could have gone either way. In defence, a new hero emerged in the left corner position. Pankaj scored six very crucial tackle points and he was well supported by skipper Sunil Kumar.

“I don’t think motivation is a problem. The team is not losing any match without a fight. Each match is coming down to the wire, so I don’t think there is any lack of motivation in the side. It’s just that luck isn’t favouring us at the moment,” Manpreet explained.

“Gameplans and strategies are made keeping the particular opposition in mind. We have strategies made for each match and we will change. I still have complete faith in myself and my team."
