Star raider Pradeep Narwal will continue to lead the Patna-based franchise as the side announced on Thursday. Even though he was the second most successful raider last season with a total of 233 raid points in 21 matches, Patna stood fourth in Zone B and failed to make it to the playoffs.

After last years disappointing season, three-time champions Patna Pirates have made serious changes to strengthen both raiding as well as the defence. Narwal lacked good support last season in the raiding department despite some good performance by youngster Manjeet, to rectify this the Pirates have now roped in Jang Kun Lee. Lee holds the record for most points by a foreign player and the Pirates would be banking on him to provide support to Pradeep throughout the season.

The franchise has also brought the experienced Surinder Nada to solidify the defence. He was ruled out of the previous edition due to an injury in the first game but has been the second most successful defender in PKL. Him, along with Jawahar Dagar and Vikash Jaglan makes the Patna defence look lethal.

Pradeep has continued to make an impact for Patna Pirates since season 3 and the fans will hope that the ‘Dubki King’ will continue his dream run this season as well. The 22-year-old has been trusted by the management to lead the team and he would surely be looking forward to bringing the trophy home once again.

Patna Pirates Squad:

Pardeep Narwal, Vikas Jaglan, Jawahar Dagar, Mohit, Surender Nada, Neeraj Kumar, Jang Kun Lee, Mohammad Maghsoudlou, Jaideep, Hadi Oshtorak, Ravinder, Ashish, Mahendra Choudhary.
