Ben Stokes has called that Ravindra Jadeja as the best bowler in the world, after his exploits during India’s successful home Test season. Stokes became the most expensive foreign player in the league after being picked for a whopping Rs. 14.5 crores by the Rising Pune Supergiant in the IPL auction.

Ben Stokes has claimed that Ravindra Jadeja’s recent performances have been vindicated by his no.1 ranking among Test bowlers. Speaking to Times of India Stokes said, “The rankings are there for a reason. They do tell the truth. You only get there if you are. His record of the Indian winter was exceptional. You can't deny how well he has been bowling. So judging by that, he is the best bowler in the world at the moment.”

Stokes as far as to say that he would not fancy his chances against Jadeja as the Indian is “very accurate and bowled at good pace”.

Jadeja had a fruitful series against the Aussies with both ball and bat and dislodged compatriot Ravichandran Ashwin from the top of ICC’s Test bowler rankings. The left-arm spinner also played a crucial role in India’s hugely successful home season where they won 10 of the 13 Test matches they played.
