This IPL has been marred with injuries this season and it seems like Chris Lynn has joined the list. While attempting a catch running towards the boundary, the Aussie put in a dive but landed awkwardly on his left shoulder and had to leave the field of play immediately.

The match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Mumbai Indians suddenly turned into a grim affair in the 3rd over when Chris Lynn was added to the injured players' list which seems never-ending. On the last delivery of the 3rd over Jos Buttler heaved a full-length delivery from Chris Woakes down the ground. The Englishman did not connect with the ball properly and gave Chris Lynn, who was standing at mid-off, a sniff of a wicket. The Aussie backtracked the ball in anticipation of catching it and put in a full length dive but the ball glanced off the tip of his finger and he came down on his left shoulder. Lynn called for the physio straight away and did not even go for the ball, that had stopped a few inches from the boundary.

The batsman just took 2-runs and upheld the spirit of the game as Lynn's reactions looked troublesome. Mumbai Indians were missing Rayudu who was out with a groin injury, suffered in the Pune game, and now it looks like Kolkata Knight Riders are on the same page.

We will have to wait for the official take of the franchise on his injury and we hope he continues and adds to the entertainment factor of the tournament.
