Delhi Daredevils have an enviable bowling lineup and Gautam Gambhir is the latest one to heap praise on their bowling department by saying they have the most talented bowling lineup in this year’s IPL. Delhi takes on Kolkata Knight Riders in today's first IPL match at the Feroz Shah Kotla.

Writing in his exclusive column for the Hindustan Times, Gambhir praised the variety of bowling options that Delhi have at their disposal, while also mentioning the abundance of experience that Rahul Dravid and Zaheer Khan bring to the table. “Our next opposition Delhi Daredevils are easily the most talented bowling side in this year’s IPL, a platter with all the variety you could imagine. With Rahul Dravid as coach and Zaheer Khan as captain there is an experience of over 800 international games between them.”

This column comes just days after Gambhir went public with the admission that his "heart is still with Delhi".

Kolkata won their last game against the Sunrisers Hyderabad and Gambhir praised the contributions of Sunil Narine and Kuldeep Yadav to the cause, while also pointing out to the dismissals of Yuvraj Singh and David Warner as the turning point in the game. Delhi’s clash at home to Kolkata is a meeting of the two in-form teams in the tournament, given that Delhi have previously beaten Rising Pune Supergiant and then thrashed Punjab in their last match. Meanwhile, Kolkata returned to winning ways against the Sunrisers Hyderabad on Saturday.

Finally, although Kolkata have the upper hand in the overall encounters winning 10 out of the 17, including 4 wins in 6 games at the Feroz Shah Kotla so far, Delhi will be looking to set the record straight today.

It could be mind-games before the clash between Gambhir's old and current side, but the statistics do back him up, as the Delhi attack, consisting of Zaheer Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem, Chris Morris, Amit Mishra, Pat Cummins and Corey Anderson, has claimed 27 wickets in the 3 matches that they have played so far.
