LIVE IPL Auction 2017 | Pune and RCB break bank to sign Ben Stokes and Tymal Mills

Rising Pune Supergiants have signed England all-rounder Ben Stokes for a staggering price of Rs. 14.5 crore, while Royal Challengers Bangalore have bought English pacer Tymal Mills for Rs 12 crore. As soon as Madley said Ben Stokes, Mumbai raised their hand, and it is still up there as the price went from Rs. 2 crores to Rs. 6.5 crores. Initially, It was Delhi versus Mumbai for Stokes before Rising Pune Supergiants joined in with a late bid of Rs. 13.5 crore. Eventually, they landed their target for an astonishing amount of Rs. 14.5 crore.

Tymal Mills, who was impressive in the T20 series against India, also caught the eye of the franchises at a base price of Rs. 50 lakhs. The Englishman stirred up a bidding war between Delhi and Mumbai at the start before KKR and RCB joined in and took the bid past Rs. 10 crores. It was the Banglore-based franchise who won the bidding war in the end as they signed the 24-year-old pacer for Rs. 12 crore.

Delhi Daredevils, meanwhile, have also made a series of big purchases: Angelo Mathews for Rs. 2 crore, Corey Anderson for Rs. 1 crore, and Kagiso Rabada for Rs. 5 crore.
